10kV Opto-coupler - High Voltage, High Gain, High Stability

VMI's 10kV OC100HG opto-coupler is specially designed for applications requiring stable long-term gain and high isolation voltage.

The OC100HG is very useful in circuits that need to be isolated, remotely controlled, or monitored. The OC100HG is axial-leaded and epoxy molded.

CalRamic High Voltage Ceramic Capacitors

The OZ100SG features high gain, and high isolation. Over molded in optically clear material, the junctions are light-sensitive. When a reverse voltage is applied, and the junctions are exposed to light, a small leakage current is generated. This leakage current can be used to control external systmes when used as an opto-coupler.

The OZ100SG is small, ultra reliable, and packs high voltage in a very small package.

VMI's 10kV opto-diode was designed to be used in conjunction with LEDs, or other light sources, to expose silicon junctions to light.

It is not an opto-coupler, but can be used as one.

Exposing the junctions to light generates reverse leakage in the photo-diode. The reverse leakage current can be used as feedback, which in turn can be used to control or monitor external signals or systems.

Factors effecting gain of the photo-diode include

LED position and distance from the junctions
Type of LED used
Frequency of LEDs
Light intensity of LED
Percent exposure of the photo-diode junctions to light
