Practical limits exist, which help to pinpoint the design of a custom hybrid multiplier. The following Rules of Thumb generally apply to custom hybrids:

AC input voltage: Up to 1,400Vp-p
AC input frequency: 5kHz to 100kHz
DC output voltage: 1 to 6kV
Operating temperature range: -55°C to +125°C
Relative humidity: 0-100%
Altitude: 0-space
