Leakage and Losses in High Voltage Multipliers

Losses due to leakage in diodes, capacitors and insulation are significant considerations in applications that use very low capacitor values (i.e. night vision power supplies) and in applications that operate at high temperatures (>125°C).

Figure 2 represents some of the factors that affect multiplier efficiency:
