| Practical limits do exist that determine multiplier design and application. Here are some rules of thumb for the most commonly used VMI multipliers: | |
| a) AC Input Voltage: | 0 to 15kVp-p |
| b) AC Input Frequency: | 5kHz to 100kHz |
| c) DC Output Voltage: | 1,000V to 150,000V |
| d) DC Output Power: | 0 - 50W |
| e) Operating Temp. Range: | -55°C to +125°C |
| f) Relative Humidity: | 0-100% (please specifiy) |
| g) Altitude: | 0 to space (please specifiy) |
|
Note: Multipliers which exceed these limits are available, but may require other types of capacitors, encapsulation, etc.
