Practical limits do exist that determine multiplier design and application. Here are some rules of thumb for the most commonly used VMI multipliers:
a) AC Input Voltage: 0 to 15kVp-p
b) AC Input Frequency: 5kHz to 100kHz
c) DC Output Voltage: 1,000V to 150,000V
d) DC Output Power: 0 - 50W
e) Operating Temp. Range: -55°C to +125°C
f) Relative Humidity: 0-100% (please specifiy)
g) Altitude: 0 to space (please specifiy)

Note: Multipliers which exceed these limits are available, but may require other types of capacitors, encapsulation, etc.
