VMI - Variations on Series Half-wave High Voltage Multipliers

Typical 4 stage multiplier (4x) circuit of one diode and one capacitor per stage.
Unlimited stage number. Regulation is proportional to N³, making a large number of stages ineffective.
Reversed diode polarity = negative output
Dual polarity output voltage is produced by connecting positive and negative multipliers.
An odd number of stages can be produced as well as an even number of stages.
Voltage may be tapped at any point on the filter bank of the capacitors.
Any capacitor can be eliminated on the filter bank of the capacitors if the load is capacitive.
